I don't remember that we had one in the forum, just a guy asking for the dimensions...
The hint to look at the manufacturers was to find one that produces a matching cylinder. Where to get it once you found it is the next task afterwards... but sometimes they list their distributors, or can send you a list via mail.

I think I may be too early. I have a V70/1. For many Germans perhaps expiring tanks is not important yet. The cars are not old, most will be V70/2. I think this forum will be crowded with Germans, Swedes, and Fins, all crying into their beer, in 2-3 years.

The later 3 x tank V70/2 will only have one tank expiring. 1 x Type 3 tank will expire. The 2 x Type 1 will be OK for another 10 years.

I have a 1999 car V70/1 so i think am amongst the first with this problem. I had hoped a German has this problem now and knew how to solve it. Easier to do in Germany than it is for me.
I have tried to contact CNG tansk manufacturers, they will not talk to me. The distributors cannot supply becuase for 1 x tank the manufacturers won't talk to them. 1 x tank in hte UK, is not interesting to manufacturers.

I will keep going at this problem.

You'll have to make a short vacancy trip to Germany. Its no Problem to get a new tank together with the work of replacing here. But usually the spareparts are not sold to the users but only to the craftsmen.

Hallo,
I have the same problem: V70/I from 1999. My bottle expires in the mid of 2013. To solve this situation I contacted the company who bought the unused bottels from Volvo. But these bottles are also not to be used after xx.2013 - even when they never where used with methane. I keep you informed if I get more informations.

At last somebody too that has my problem.

There must be lots of us, all with tanks at this date. The reason a tank never used must be scrapped is because aluminium hardens with age and becomes brittle, less ductile and flexible so less able to take the stress.

Type 1 and 2 tansk do not have thsi issue. But are heavier, and cheaper. Good luck
